Poonam and Jayson’s journey to the alter began one evening on Poonam’s way home from a trip to China, She was in for the surprise of her life. Jayson, had organised for a limousine to pick her up from the airport and take her to a friend’s house to choose from an array of new dresses he knew she would love! After a lengthy decision-making process, Poonam finally decided on her dress and resumed her journey!
The limo arrived at the high school that she had attended with Jayson. Confused, yet curious, Poonam took a step inside the building only to find Jayson waiting in front of the very locker they had shared together many years ago. With the ring ready at hand, Jayson proposed and to no surprise, Poonam said yes!

Poonam and Jayson’s wedding ran over a six day period, beginning with a cocktail party that lasted through all hours of the night on a Sunday night! Tuesday followed with Jayson’s pithi (a traditional hindu ceremony), while Wednesday included the couples individual henna parties. Poonam’s pithi took place on Thursday, and finally the wedding on Friday with a ‘grand finale reception’ on Saturday!
Poonam describes her wedding rush as a lot of hard work that ultimately paid off once they were joined by friends and family to celebrate their special union.
