Surrounded by the immaculate natural beauty of Texas this wedding was styled to bohemian perfection.
Brittany and Hunter’s love story began when they were only teenagers. Through a chance meeting thanks to mutual friends, they have been together ever since.
Hunter’s proposal was truly romantic. Taking Brittany on a spontaneous trip to Atlanta Botanical Gardens, he randomly asked a passerby to take a picture of the both of them. After posing for the photo, he asked for yet another photo, and this time he got down on one knee and proposed unexpectedly. “I cried for about ten minutes and forgot that I was supposed to say something…it was obviously a yes!”
They decided to have their wedding on Hunter’s parent’s ranch in Texas. A rustic landscape boasting 800 acres of natural magnificence, a lake and an array of exotic animals including a few from Africa. “That’s right, there were Zebras at the wedding,” Brittany describes with excitement. These wonderful animals played perfectly with their theme, adding something truly extraordinary.
“It was like taking our guests to another country…it just made our wedding feel so unique and special”.
Taking on the DIY world, all the decorative elements were made by the wedding party and styled days before the wedding. “It had a very bohemian and country chic vibes, and it was totally us!”
Brittany wore a gorgeous BHLDN dress, with a lace cap-sleeve bodice and dreamy full tulle skirt. Her hair was styled in boho waves, and she opted out of the traditional, choosing to wear a lush yet sweet floral crown. Hunter opted for a cool but sophisticated Topman suit, with a fabulous floral tie.
Any regrets?
“We wish that we could have stuck around a little longer after the wedding… We ate with everyone, did toasts, did our dances, and ate cake. But when it came time for the fun part when everyone was on the dance floor, we ran inside and started packing”.
