Real Wedding: A Simplistic Outdoor Ceremony with a Touch of Spanish Heritage

Juliana’s morning began with a little surprise prepared by her bridesmaids in the bridal suite. Juliana’s eyes watered to the immediate sight of a table filled with the photographs of previous weddings from hers and Nicholas’ families. Laying close to the images, was also Juliana’s beloved grandmother’s necklace and a candle that was lit in memory of her late father. The sentiment of the moment grew with “something blue”, a Tiffany & Co necklace. Juliana knew immediately that an emotion-filled day awaited her.

At the ceremony, Juliana and Nicholas’ first kiss was a moment filled with overwhelming emotion and serenity, as the bridal party released butterflies in honour of new beginnings and adventures. The bride’s sister then organised for a traditional Pinata, in honour of their fathers Spanish heritage.

The reception then followed, with an impeccable array of blush, ivory and gold florals. Adding yet another unique element to the reception, a range of hired empty vases were used to re-purpose the bridesmaid’s bouquets as table décor. A floral arch was also prepared, along with fairy lights that created a warm retreat for the bride and groom.

Instead of using regular table numbers, each table was identified with a year of significance for the bride and groom. As they glazed over the reception, their night was filled with wonderful memories they had shared together throughout the years. Juliana and Nicholas love to travel and on each adventure, collect magnets to represent each country and memory. In a unique twist, the pair gifted hand-made scrabble tile magnets to their guests, allowing them to be a part of their journey. Each guest was also presented with customised menu’s to include a “wedding I-Spy” game, in hopes of creating an ice breaker for those who may not know each other.

Needless to say, this wedding was filled with unique ideas that we absolutely adored!

Be Inspired, Fairies!
