Real Wedding: A rustic Wedding in Bali

This Wedding has the perfect fairytale recipe – an ever so beautiful Bride, a handsome Groom, a gorgeously tropical backdrop and a dash of Disney.

Their magical journey together started with Dee’s proposal to Celia where she was greeted with Dee’s cooking, some candles and a perfectly placed diamond ring. “He created a moment that totally embodied what we are as a couple. Nothing too fancy, he just kept it real”.

Having met at the airport, where they both worked together, it would seem only natural for the two to have a destination Wedding. The Wedding ceremony and reception was held at the stunning Santus Villa in Uluwatu Bali, a true rustic paradise. Their ceremony was styled with a mix of brightly coloured blooms, gorgeously lush florals, and a carpet of white rose petals down the aisle. The reception was just as picturesque lit with rows of fairy lights.

Coming from different cultural backgrounds (Dee is Malay and Celia is Chinese) their Wedding was a perfect expression of their shared love of food, desserts and Disney. The band “stole the show” as they played a wonderful array of Disney songs. Their guests were also entertained by traditional tea ceremony fetching games.

The most memorable moment? “My little brother playing violin to ‘I See the Light’ from Tangled for our bridal march as well as the balloon release at the end of the night” which also featured ‘I See the Light’.

And the final magical twist to their fairytale Wedding? Delia’s recommendation of a rain stopper in Bali. “They really work! It is not a myth!”
