Kathryn and Ben celebrated their Wedding in a beautiful, relaxed country setting. The charming intimate affair was full of natural rustic elements and textures with splashes of brilliant colour.
The pair were married in Newrybar, a small village located between Ballina and Byron Bay. “We wanted an elegant yet relaxed vibe,” says Bride Kathryn. “It was really just a combination of things that we loved, that made us happy and that we felt reflected us. This happened to include a lot of raw, natural elements such as concrete, timber, natural linens and foliage.”
When considering a venue it was love at first sight. “The peaceful seclusion, beautiful country setting and focus on locally grown ingredients, won us over immediately! We didn’t end up looking anywhere else.”
Kathryn and Ben also provided some delectable goodies for their guests and their scrumptious looking cakes were a highlight of the day.
‘I knew that I wanted Katie from Sweet Obsessions in Byron Bay to make our wedding cake from very early on in the planning process. We then also had jam, cinnamon and salted caramel doughnuts which were made fresh to order by Harvest. Harvest’s pastries come fresh out of their 101 year old wood-fired oven, so of course they were delicious as well.’
