The main event can take up to 100 guests seated or 150 for a cocktail-style evening, with a second function of up to 40, which suits a welcome dinner or a farewell lunch. Dinner usually follows in the lower garden under the open sky, with freestanding bars and a raised dance floor built on the lawn, and the downstairs living area works for welcome drinks. Planning matters here: there is no large indoor space, so a freestanding marquee with clear sides is required whenever rain is likely, and music stops at 11 pm. Weddings are run through an event organiser under Elite Havens guidelines.
A full team looks after the household, including a chef who plans menus around the group, housekeeping, concierge and drivers. Between events, guests swim in the ocean-view pool, book spa treatments in the villa, walk 3 minutes to Kelating Beach or explore the surrounding rice fields and village with the concierge.
