TanaDewa sits on top of a hill in Singakerta, and its function spaces face straight out over the Ubud forest, the river below and the surrounding rice paddies. Ceremonies are held in these outdoor settings with the jungle as the backdrop, and the in-house events team runs the day from styling to timing. The resort also offers an Indian wedding format, which is less common among Ubud boutique resorts.
Rooms range from 41 sqm Sky Suites to 2-bedroom TanaDewa Suites and Grand Suites with living rooms and valley views, which suit families and bridal parties. Couples wanting privacy can choose the Courtyard, Intimate or TanaDewa Pool Villas, the last 2 set in a separate villa complex with private pools, bathtubs, e-butler and buggy service.
After the vows, guests can move to the Sky Terrace for cocktails as the light fades, then on to Tanarasa Restaurant or a poolside setting for dinner. The resort's indoor function room gives a fallback if the weather turns. The enquiry form accepts groups from under 20 to over 100, so check exact space capacities with the team when planning a larger celebration.
Between events, guests can book Balinese treatments at TanaSpa, train in the forest-view gym, join a yoga session in the Yoga Hut or read in the library. The resort can arrange Mount Batur treks, cycling, rafting, cooking classes and craft workshops, and a scheduled shuttle runs to Ubud centre.
