OUR TOP FIVE MOVIE BRIDES

It shouldn’t be a surprise that we are a fan of all movies that involve weddings. While you’re planning your own wedding, take some fictional inspiration from our top 5 movie brides

1. Carrie (Sex and the City)
It wouldn’t be a list without her, even if the wedding we’re talking about didn’t end too well. The Vivienne Westwood gown, Manolo Blahnik heels and the kind of too beautiful backdrop of the New York State Library, we want it all. Just don’t ask us what she was wearing on her head. We still don’t know.

2. Juliet (Love Actually)
Who doesn’t want a surprise orchestra and a Beatles song at their wedding after all? Even if we’re suckers for what happens later on (and everyone knows what that is!) we can’t help but smile at this cute touch.

3. Tracy (The Philadelphia Story)
While Audrey may have one of the most iconic vintage wedding dresses in Funny Face, we’re partial to Katharine instead. This remarriage story is an absolute classic and if you haven’t seen it, you should. For those of you who have, you’ll understand this next bit. Her hat. We want her hat.

4. Marie (Marie Antoinette)
Not that this whole movie wasn’t completely over the top, crazy and completely fabulous. It’s just that wedding scene was that little bit more over the top, crazy and completely fabulous. Elaborate and with a wedding dress that wouldn’t seem out of place on My Big Gypsy Wedding, there is a lot of fabric to love here.

5. Zooey (I Love You Man)
Okay, so the movie itself is a bit more about bromance than romance, but that doesn’t make the wedding at the end any less cute. Bright, summery and simple, this twists the wedding interrupted plot into something completely different. Looking out for her groom and then standing through bro vows before she gets her own definitely gives Zooey some points!
