Rodarte/Hair Sculptures
The standout show was easily Rodarte, whose collection featured flowers, feathers and fluffy tulle. It would be impossible to pick a favourite from a standout collection that was almost entirely suitable for brides, but we particularly loved the striking hair sculpture of this look.
2. Jacques La Grange/Black Dresses
Ok. It’s not white, but this South African designer gave his support to the dark dress trend, by sending models down the runway in elaborate lace ensembles that would not look out of place at a wedding.
3. Pyer Moss/Pleats
His signature is street style, but this American designer sent a few looks down the catwalk that could easily also walk down the aisle. As well as the beautiful satin number he featured to open his show, we fell in love with the pleating
4. Happily Grey/Feathers
There we almost as many trends started off the catwalk, with blogger @Happilygrey showcasing her street-style-turned-wedding-dress with this feathered number.
5. Gabriela Hearst/Demure Details
We definitely predict a rise in modest bridal dressing. Think 3/4 sleeves, simple slip dresses with a sprinkle of beading and jumpsuits.
6. Zimmermann/The Midas Touch
However, there’s always a place for a little gold embellishment. As seen in this dress by Aussie designers Zimmermann.
7. Dion Lee/Lacey Touches
Also flying the Aussie flag was Dion Lee. We predict the strategic use of lace on dresses to feature heavily in bridal trends for 2019. Watch this space…
8. Tom Ford/Fringing
With a cut that good, who needs crystals anyway?
