Mondo Duplantis And Desiré Inglander’s Côte d’Azur Wedding

Mondo Duplantis And Desiré Inglander’s Côte d’Azur Wedding

Olympic champion Mondo Duplantis and model Desiré Inglander celebrated their wedding with three days of festivities across the French Riviera, blending Swedish traditions, French elegance, and a love story years in the making.

Mondo Duplantis knows a thing or two about setting records.

The Olympic champion and world-record-holding pole vaulter has spent years soaring to new heights, collecting medals and rewriting the history books. But on June 12, the biggest moment wasn't measured in meters.

It was measured in memories.

Duplantis married longtime partner and model Desiré Inglander during a spectacular wedding weekend on the Côte d'Azur, transforming some of the South of France's most beautiful locations into the backdrop for a celebration that felt equal parts glamorous, personal, and deeply emotional.

From a château ceremony in the hills above Cannes to a pool party finale worthy of a Riviera summer, the couple created a wedding that perfectly reflected their worlds, their cultures, and their journey together.

A Love Story That Started On Midsummer

Before there were Olympic gold medals and world records, there was a Swedish midsummer celebration.

The couple first met in 2020 and quickly formed a connection that would grow alongside their careers. As Duplantis became one of the most dominant athletes in the world, Inglander built her own presence as a model and content creator.

Four years later, Duplantis proposed during what Inglander believed was a Vogue Scandinavia photoshoot in the Hamptons. Instead, she was greeted with a surprise proposal surrounded by both of their families.

It set the tone for a relationship built around sharing life's biggest moments with the people they love most.

Why The South Of France Was The Perfect Choice

For the couple, the French Riviera was more than just a beautiful destination.

It was already part of their story.

With strong ties to the region and a home base in nearby Monaco, choosing the South of France felt natural. The wedding unfolded across three locations, beginning with a welcome celebration at Villa Eilenroc in Antibes, followed by the main ceremony at Château de Castellaras, and ending with a relaxed poolside gathering in Cannes.

Rather than limiting the wedding to a single day, the couple created an entire weekend experience where guests could celebrate, connect, and fully immerse themselves in the festivities.

A Wedding That Blended Two Worlds

One of the most meaningful aspects of the celebration was how naturally it brought together different cultures.

Duplantis has roots in both Sweden and Louisiana, while Inglander grew up in Sweden. Their guest list reflected that mix, creating a celebration that felt wonderfully international.

The ceremony itself began with a distinctly Swedish touch. As the bride walked down the aisle with her father, a pianist played ABBA's "Slipping Through My Fingers," a moment that immediately brought tears.

Later, the newlyweds exchanged personal vows surrounded by family, friends, and breathtaking floral arrangements.

Three Bridal Looks Worth Talking About

Desiré's wedding wardrobe deserves its own chapter.

Wanting to honor her Swedish roots, she collaborated with Swedish designer Ida Lanto on her ceremony gown. Inspired by Grace Kelly, the silk organza creation featured a sweetheart neckline, long lace sleeves, hand-finished details, and a dramatic train that perfectly suited the château setting.

For dinner, she changed into a second Ida Lanto design featuring romantic lace, hand-applied embellishments, and an elegant off-the-shoulder silhouette.

Then came the after-party look.

A custom corseted mini dress by French designer Antoine Guérin featured hundreds of individually crafted feathers arranged to create movement and texture. It was playful, fashion-forward, and made for dancing until sunrise.

While Desiré delivered multiple bridal fashion moments, Mondo held his own in the style department.

Inspired by both James Bond and his father, who wore a white tuxedo jacket on his own wedding day, the groom opted for a custom look by Swedish tailoring house Saman Amel.

The crisp white jacket paired with black trousers felt timeless, sophisticated, and perfectly aligned with the Riviera setting.

It was a groom's look that managed to feel classic without fading into the background.

While the fashion was stunning and the locations were spectacular, the heart of the celebration was the atmosphere.

Guests danced under the Riviera sky, gathered around a Champagne tower, listened to heartfelt speeches, and celebrated long into the night.

The wedding cake even paid tribute to the couple's backgrounds, incorporating symbols representing both Sweden and Louisiana.

The festivities continued the next day with a relaxed pool party, where formalwear was swapped for swimsuits and everyone embraced the final moments of the celebration.
