Their Love Story
Menna shares with us her secret to finding the perfect man – prayer!
She manifested the man of her dreams, and within a week, she met her prince charming through mutual friends.
“I prayed to God to bless me with a decent and compassionate man, so he introduced me to AbdelRahman!” – Menna
Sparks flew on their first date, and the rest is history.
The Wedding
Fast forward to February 23rd, 2023, the two lovebirds tied the knot in a beautiful religious ceremony at the Citadel of Cairo. This iconic monument in Islamic Cairo, which was home to Egypt’s rulers for 700 years, provided the perfect backdrop for the couple to make their love official. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Menna and AbdelRahman exchanged vows and celebrated the beauty of this special occasion.
Menna’s religious ceremony attire was a simple yet elegant dress with a flowy design, delicate feathers, and pleated sleeves. When asked about her choice of dress, she replied, “I opted for a simple dress to match the theme of my ceremony.”
The Celebration
On March 3rd, 2023, the lovebirds got to party with all their favorite people to celebrate their wedding in Cairo! It was a beautiful day filled with love, laughter, and lots of dancing. From the wedding invitation video, the saxophone performances, the live painting, to the bridal bouquet, every detail was a reflection of the love that Menna and AbdelRahman share.
Menna says that one of the most important aspects of the wedding was the genuine love and support she received from everyone, especially her bridesmaids. “I was so touched by the overwhelming support from my loved ones that I couldn’t sleep for days. It’s moments like these that make you realize the true value of people in your life.”
The cake was particularly remarkable, with a design that perfectly matched the wedding’s white and pink princess theme.
Another standout detail was the painter who was present throughout the wedding, capturing the special moment in real time. This was a surprise from Menna’s best friends, who knew how much she had wanted to book a painter but had been unable to find one. This thoughtful and unique touch made the wedding even more special.
The second dress Menna wore was a gold gown from designer Nour Azazy, with shades of gold embroidery, all handmade, making it a dream dress for Menna.
The Nour Azazy gown was handmade with imported fabric from India and took 6 months to finish! Menna wanted to highlight her hijab and modest look, and Nour Azazy respected her idea and made the perfect gown for her.
“It was my dream dress, and it made me proud to wear my full hijab at my wedding instead of showing all my hair.”
The couple celebrated their wedding at the JW Marriott in Cairo, and Menna says that it was the perfect venue for her. An outdoor venue was crucial to her, and she wanted the food and service to be perfect, which the venue provided.
Menna’s words of wisdom to future brides: Seek help!
“Brides always think they need to handle everything on their own, but trust me, that’s not the case” Menna learned that it’s important to have a couple of trusted friends and delegate tasks to make the planning process smoother and more enjoyable. “My bridesmaids are the ones to thank for making the whole experience a perfect dream come true, so lean on your girls and don’t forget to be kind to yourself.”
