It was the break-up we all saw coming, on Tuesday’s episode of ‘Married at First Sight’ with Michelle shattering  Jesse’s heart on national TV, telling him she wanted a ‘forever friendship’, rather than a romantic partnership.

Viewers slammed Michelle after watching the episode,accusing Michelle of leading Jesse on, never showing much interest in her TV hubby since day one, and then leaving him once the cameras stopped rolling.

Now the TV exes have taken to their social media accounts, in an really awkward video that seems to want to convince us all that they are actually besties. Watch for yourself!

In the short clip posted on both their Instagram accounts, Michelle told viewers,  “We came into it, and we committed ourselves for 8 weeks on this journey and hoped that the experts had done their job right. But even thought we didn’t success in becoming lifelong lovers and husband and wife, we’ve gained a really true friendship, hopefully which lasts a lifetime.”

Jesse then addressed the camera, telling his fans ” We both can say this experience is one of the best experiences of our lives, we’ve learnt so much from this and we’re taking on all this new knowledge and bringing it into our new relationships.” Er … Convincing!
