Keeping with their Vietnamese customs, Linda and Michael’s fairy-tale wedding celebration was a combination of three different celebrations! The day started with a traditional Catholic Church ceremony, where the couple exchanged their vows in both Vietnamese and English, followed by a colourful tea ceremony, where Linda donned a stunning bright red gown and matching elaborate headpiece, which ended with an explosion of vibrant Chinese firecrackers.
The couple’s garden marquee reception was the perfect ending to their special day, adorned in an abundance of florals, candles and gold, pink and peach accents, creating the most romantic atmosphere. Wanting to be among their close friends and family, the couple decided to to place their beautiful decorated bridal table, complete with a hanging flower installation, in the middle of the reception. “We hadn’t seen/attended a wedding with the bridal table set that way and it made us feel a part of the wedding and it was a lot easier to mingle with everyone,” the bride told Wedded Wonderland. We love this idea!
Reflecting back on their special day, one of the funniest moments of the night was after the bride’s father’s speech, when he came to the bridal table and completely walked past his daughter, who had stood up for a hug, and went straight into a hug with the groom. Taking it lightheartedly, Linda told Wedded Wonderland, ” It was quiet funny, everyone had a good laugh. It was so so heart-warming and memorable to see my dad welcoming Michael into the family like that.”
