Julia Stiles Marries in Shotgun Wedding

Julie Stiles and Preston J Cook have tied the knot, and have a baby on the way to boot!

“Who doesn’t love a shotgun wedding?” Stiles jokingly captioned an image of her burgeoning baby bump in a white wedding dress, with beau J. Cook’s hand resting his hand on her belly. The shared image posted on Instagram also featured a set of gold wedding bands.

From what we can tell, the two were wed in a romantic beach wedding in Seattle, Washington. Stiles wore a beautiful bohemian dress by Tiffany Rose Maternity, effortlessly styled with fine jewellery by Canadian designers Reason and Madness.

Stiles and J. Cook met on the set of the film Blackway where Cook was working as a camera assistant. But they didn’t start dating until they were working alongside each other once more on the film Go With Me in 2015. It wasn’t too long after that Cook got on one knee and asked her to marry him on a romantic vacation to Isla Grande in Colombia – on Christmas Eve no less!

Stiles has funnily enough admitted to secretly knowing about his proposal plans. “We had had a conversation waiting for an elevator one day, where he was randomly like, out of nowhere, ‘With jewelry, you don’t really wear silver or platinum. You’re more into gold’”, she described on Live! With Kelly.

“And then I went, ‘What is up with this conversation?’”

In another interview she revealed that they were in no hurry to head to the altar, saying that they were taking their time with the “wedding planning”. But it seems that the upcoming birth of their first child has prompted them to get married.

The pair broke the news that they were expecting a baby back in June and Stiles has since shared a few pics of her growing bump.
