Looks like Mike Sorrentino has found himself in an entirely new situation (we apologise for the terrible pun), with the Jersey Shore star proposing to his girlfriend, Lauren Pesce.
If you only remember Mike for his orange spray tan, rippling muscles, and questionable fashion choices in his “guido” days, you may be surprised by his super sweet proposal (and maybe not so much by the captions).
Taking to Instagram, the reality star posted three consecutive images of the proposal, starting with a picture of the two on a merry-go-round and the caption “GYM TAN WE’RE ENGAGED.” Meanwhile, Lauren posted the same image with the caption, “current situation.”

Mike followed the post up with two more images, one showing him proposing to Lauren and the other of him lifting her into the air, captioning the posts, “The future Mr & Mrs Situation” and “She said yes!!!” respectively.

Lauren is Mike’s college sweetheart, with the pair having dated for almost four years before breaking up just as Mike was catapulted to reality super stardom after the start Jersey Shore. The pair rekindled their relationship back in 2012.
Of the engagement, Mike told US Weekly, “I have always dreamed of proposing on Jersey Shore, the show that introduced me to the world … I’m currently living the dream and proposed to my college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce, amongst my best friends on the biggest reality show in the country. We are so proud and excited to share this chapter of our story with the world.”
