Influencer Anna Sitar Announces Engagement to Bru Brubaker

Influencer Anna Sitar Announces Engagement to Bru Brubaker

Influencer Anna Sitar is engaged to radio host Josh “Bru” Brubaker after four years of dating, with a beachside proposal that quickly captured fans online.

If you have been following Anna Sitar for a while, this moment feels less like a surprise and more like a long-awaited reveal.

The creator, known for her warm, diary-like content and signature catchphrases, has officially entered her fiancé era with longtime partner Josh Brubaker, also known to fans as “Bru on the Radio.”

After years of documenting pieces of her life online, Anna shared the news in a way that felt completely her. Personal, playful, and just a little bit self-aware.

The Engagement Announcement That Felt So Them

The couple confirmed their engagement on April 20 with a rollout that quickly made its rounds online.

Bru led with humor, posting a TikTok that read, “BREAKING: Anna and Bru are no longer dating. Because we’re engaged!!!” It was exactly the kind of tone their audience has come to expect. Light, a little cheeky, but rooted in something real.

Anna followed with a series of golden-hour engagement photos taken by the beach. Wearing a soft floral dress and a subtle butter yellow manicure, she revealed a pear-shaped diamond ring that instantly caught attention.

Her caption stayed true to her voice. “I’m so happy you’re here (forever).”

The Ring

Sitar also shared a close-up photo of her engagement ring, featuring a pear-shaped diamond set on a gold band.

She complemented the ring with a fresh butter yellow manicure and a floral sundress.

A Love Story That Started Online

Long before the proposal, their story began in a way that feels very 2020.

Back when Anna was still building her platform, she came across a TikTok of Bru working at a radio station in Michigan. She commented, “omg yay Michigan.” That small interaction turned into a thread of replies, then conversations, then something more.

They officially confirmed their relationship in late 2021, but for months before that, followers were already picking up on the clues. When they finally made it public, Bru simply told people to “act shocked.”

Since then, their relationship has unfolded both online and off, balancing public moments with a clear effort to keep things grounded.

The Proposal Everyone Knew Was Coming

In true Anna fashion, the engagement was not entirely out of the blue.

Earlier this year, she posted a video in January saying, “I feel like something’s gonna happen this year. The girlies that get it, get it.” From there, she began a quiet series, checking in on her empty ring finger every few weeks.

The proposal eventually happened on April 2, turning those playful predictions into something real.

It is a detail that makes the moment feel even more personal. Not just a surprise, but something she had been intuitively waiting for.

Why This Moment Feels Different

What makes this engagement resonate is not just the ring or the setting. It is the way it reflects how Anna has always shown up online.

Her content has never been about perfection. It leans into honesty, small moments, and the kind of storytelling that feels like a conversation rather than a performance. That same energy carries into this milestone.

“Always imagined forever with my best friend,” she wrote in a separate post, looking back at their journey.

It is simple, but it lands.

In a space where relationships are often over-analyzed and overexposed, Anna and Bru have managed to keep theirs recognizable. Not because it is perfect, but because it feels consistent.

From a comment on a TikTok to a beachside proposal, the story has unfolded in a way that feels natural, not rushed.

And now, it moves into its next chapter.
