Husband Appreciation Day: How To Celebrate

Today is Husband Appreciation Day, and we want to help our Fairies celebrate! During the trying times of today, showing gratitude to your spouse is essential in nurturing a healthy marriage, and there are many easy ways of doing so…

Here are our favourite ways of expressing your appreciation to your hubby!

Write a thoughtful note, card or letter

Write a sweet note of thanks to your husband and hide it where he will easily find it: in his lunchbox, on the dashboard of his car, on the bathroom mirror, or someplace similar. You’ll be surprised by how a little note like that can brighten someone’s day. Even scribbling a message onto a sticky note can make his daily efforts feel more worthwhile…

Cook a special dinner

Does your husband have a favourite meal? What about a recipe that he’s been dying to try? Maybe a dish that brings back happy memories for you both? Set aside a little time to prepare a home-cooked meal just for him. Light some candles, play some music, and dine-in together at home.

Praise him to your children & get them on the act

Being outspoken in front of your children, in regards to your appreciation towards your husband, will rub off on them! Take the time to deliberately tell your children about all the great things your husband does for the family, and encourage them to say thank you to him. You can even go a step further and suggest that they create hand-made artwork to thank him, or that they help out with his chores to take the load off of him. Cultivating this gratitude in your children will resonate throughout your entire immediate family.

#AppreciationPost

Is your husband the type to appreciate louder acts of love? If so, social media is the way to go! Go a little further than the four walls of your house and let the world know how grateful you are for him. A #AppreciationPost will spread your love among extended family and friends!

Romantic Date

The current health crisis may mean that you’re unable to experience the great outdoors for now, but don’t worry – date night can be fun at home, too! Pour some wine and create a spread of all your husband’s favourite snacks, and get relaxing! Watch a movie, take bubble bath together, or give him a full-body massage – it’s the little things that count!

Just-Because Gift

The most classic way of appreciation – a gift! Order something practical for your husband – his favourite cologne, or that watch he’s been lusting after for years. Trust us when we say, he’ll appreciate it immensely!
