Tara Fay is an acclaimed wedding and event planner with over 20 years experience. Starting out in 1997, Tara Fay Events (formerly known as Xena Productions) was the first company in Ireland to specialize in social events, private parties, weddings and corporate functions. Over the span of her career, she has gone on to produce award-winning weddings for high-profile clients across the world – including dignitaries and celebrities such as Brian McFadden, Nicky Byrne, Laura Whitmore and Rosanna Davidson, she was also the first European to win the Best Wedding Gala Award at the Special Event Show in 2010 and is working to develop Ireland as an international wedding destination.
Speaking exclusively to Wedded Wonderland, she details, “I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work with couples who have trusted me with their wedding day. A destination wedding is a multi-faceted complex event unlike any other and is not for the faint hearted. Yet by being true to yourself and your strengths and weaknesses and surrounding yourself with an incredible team, like I have! It is the best job in the world.”
Having been at the helm of the Irish wedding scene, Fay pioneered the luxury eventing space with her unique creativity and unmatched eye for details. “I treat every day as a school day, in that there is always something new to learn in this amazing industry and I still have so much still to learn, even after 26 years and I also have so much to give back to the industry, my colleagues and the next generation of planners and designers”, she shares.
