How Justin Bieber Reacted To Seeing Hailey Baldwin’s Engagement Ring For The First Time

The pair have been friends for years (if you haven’t seen the multitude of timeline mashups of the two, head over to Instagram and try not to feel a little fuzzy inside) and have had an on-and-off relationship for the last few years. The pair reunited just the other month but have wasted no time in taking things to the ultimate step.

Now, E! News have spoken exclusively to the man behind the engagement and what he had to say warms our hearts up just that little bit more.

Jack Solow of Solow & Co. Inc. Diamond Jewelers told E! first met Justin a few years before and was very excited to hear that he had met someone he wanted to marry.

“I was very genuinely excited for him and I had heard that he was with somebody very, very special and that they had bonded over personal things,” he said. “I was just very, very happy like I would be for any young man who’s on that next stop of his life, but for Justin, of course, it’s that much more special and that much more visible for everybody.”

According to Solow, Justin had very specific design elements that he wanted incorporated into the ring, saying the main focus was the diamond – 18 carat yellow gold.

“It was about the diamond. I think he knew very well what Hailey wanted in a ring, but he wanted it very much to be about a very special diamond. He left it in my hands to try and select the most beautiful diamond for someone like Hailey.”

When Justin saw the ring, which was personally delivered by Solow, he said “Wow, it’s gorgeous.”

“There was one moment when he looked into the diamond and I said, ‘What do you see inside that diamond?’ He goes, ‘I think I see Hailey’s face,’ so that was kind of cute.”

As for any naysayers against Justin and Hailey’s engagement, Solow assures everyone that Justin “was very, very ready for this decision.”
