Joel proposed to Emily in the most romantic way possible. Emily Gambin, formerly known as Em Davies, was overjoyed to take on her new name. The couple have been together for years, and their love story is nothing short of a fairy tale, with their Wedding Day featured in Vogue Australia.
The Couple’s story began as a friendship and evolved into more after nearly 10 years of knowing each other. Their deep connection and history together played a significant role in the rich foundation of their love story. They became each other’s best friend.
The Perth based couple began their romantic relationship in 2020 and quickly became each others everything. In 2023 Joel proposed to Emily near the Brooklyn Bridge in New York on a trip to the states, marking a significant milestone in their relationship. Joel went down on one knee to propose.
This beautiful family blossomed as they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Isla Sue Gambin, on August 13, 2024, named after Em’s mum, Sue Davies, who sadly passed away from cancer in 2016.
The Couple celebrated their fairytale love story in style at Fraser gallop estate located in the margaret river wine region in Western australia. The two tied the knot in an outdoor garden ceremony in late February 2025.
Since the wedding, Em has taken to social media to share that her big day has been featured in Vouge Australia.
The lakeside garden ceremony featured black and white black tie attire from guests. The bridal party wore elegant matching black satin strapless gowns, and the groomsmen adorned black tuxedos with bow ties to match.
The simplistic elegance and colour scheme of the wedding party stood out and perfectly complemented the neutral aesthetic of the venue. The elegance and classic styles used amplified Emily’s stunning @ellysofocli wedding dress and delicately draped @daniellefrankelstudio veil. The breathtaking image of the bride was further enhanced by a long veil, adding to the romantic atmosphere of the event.
The ceremony featured two flower girls and six bridesmaids each, was greeted with a warm hug by Joel at the end of the aisle. This simple and authentic personalised touch added immensely to the emotions of the day.
Upon reaching the end of the aisle, Em placed her bouquet on a seat reserved for her mother, Sue Davies, the seat was draped with a tapestry reading “with love, from heaven”. Honouring her mother in this way was an extremely emotional and heartfelt moment, adding even more personalisation to the event. Em Davies, now Mrs Gambin, chose to honour her Mother Sue a second time during her reception speech as she “raised a glass to Sue.”
The couple has shared snippets of their vows online, the clear authenticity and sentimental nature of the words spoken “left few dry eyes.”
The stunning ceremony was framed perfectly by the surrounding vineyards and sparkling lake at Fraser Gallop Estate. This backdrop combined with the stage and styling by White Events created an effortlessly magical event.
Emily’s simply elegant Elly Sofocli ceremony dress was paired with a show stopping @daniellefrankelstudio veil and Prada heels. Her all white boquet featured orchids, a classic and luxurious choice. As a Perth-based influencer, Emily’s glamorous wedding day in Margaret River was a perfect reflection of her style and social media presence.
Em’s look was completed with hair by Circles of Hair and makeup by Elona Comerell of Muse studio.
Em davies explained that “I wanted my first look to be an extremely classic look that suited the dress, therefore I went with a blow out style, hair down moment.” As a social media star, she shared these heartfelt bridal moments with her audience, resonating deeply with her fans.
The brides second look from @bloomaustralia added to the classic nature of the brides choices. The insanely detailed gown, dripping in pearls paired with simple yet stunning updo helped this gorgeous dance the night away at her reception.
The reception was equally stunning, a large tpandco marquee was used to host the reception, with the gorgeous fraser gallop estate lake, vineyards and central mansion in the surrounds.
Styling elements from white_events and florals from naturalartflowers filled the space creating an all white setting with green accents appearing in napkin choices and flower arrangments.
Long streching fairy lights and candle’s lit the space creating a romantic ambiance adding to the dreaminess of the event.
Later the night transitioned into Em and Joel’s very own music festival, with the couples friend DJ Shann helping them to party well into the night. A dancefloor was a must for this couple, Em Davies expressed in her Vogue Australia interview. Lily Brown, along with other influencers, was seen enjoying the dance floor. The couple even brought on Entour Production Group to create a vivid like lightshow that ustilised the Fraser Gallop mansion as its canvas. The dazzling visuals bringing the celebration to life and creating a festival like vibe.
