Multi award-winning venue Customs House hosted an evening of Lustre is Luxury for Brisbane’s newly engaged couples, Wedding industry suppliers as well as the media, and the night was a resounding success!
Already regarded as one of Brisbane’s most sophisticated and stylish venues, the heritage listed Customs House unveiled a stunning new wedding space, The River Room, one that ticks all the boxes for elegant receptions in the city of Brisbane. Spectacular views of the river and Story Bridge, striking architecture and modern amenities are just the icing on the cake for upscale affairs in The River Room, named for its riverside location in the surrounds of the historical Customs House.
The brand new space flows seamlessly out onto the waterfront terrace, making for a breathtaking backdrop to any Wedding ceremony, and this is where VIP guests enjoyed drinks and canapés as they took in the breath-taking surroundings, followed by an intimate VIP dinner inside The River Room,which was styled to perfection with bright pops of floral, neutral greys and shimmering silver creating a scene like no other. The amazing styling was done by Celebrating in Style and the gorgeous floral were created by Bouquet Boutique. Guests dined beneath a dazzling geometric ceiling, as they enjoyed spectacular entertainment and speeches.
A spectacular Wedding showcase was then revealed in The Long room – Customs House’s largest event space, where guests enjoyed canapés as they roamed around the space and interacted with some of the Wedding industry’s best cake designers, florists, couture designers and photographers.
The most intimate of spaces in the venue, The Boardroom, was also put on display and styled to perfection for guests to view, particularly those seeking a more intimate Wedding, or for Bride’s to host their Kitchen Tea’s and Bridal Showers.
