It’s done and dusted ladies! The world’s most eligible bachelor George Clooney is officially off the market.
Clooney and his new bride Amal Alamuddin married in Venice over the weekend in a star studded ceremony. The waterways of Venice’s picturesque canals were filled with boats of celebrities. With everyone from Cindy Crawford, Bono, Vogue Editor Anna Wintour, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, the list goes on!
The main wedding party was held at the seven-star Aman hotel. Drapes and construction went up the day before to ensure maximum privacy.
With equal numbers of celebrity filled boats as there were paparazzi, we have a glimpse into the glitz and glamour of the famous bachelor’s nuptials. Some of our favourite Australian designers even dressed the A-list guests, with Johanna Johnson dressing best friend of the bride Jennifer Robinson. She said it was “an honour to have been requested by Vogue to work on the wedding of Mr George Clooney and his bride.”
Mrs Clooney wore a stunning red printed Alexander McQueen Resort 2011 dress to the rehearsal dinner. Although the bride’s wedding gown is rumoured to also be McQueen, we are yet to see the pictures. But the couple’s first official appearance as Mr and Mrs Clooney has sent the fashion scene into a spin. Everyone has been talking about the bride’s incredible Giambattista Valli dress. And if this dress is anything to go by, we’re even more excited to see the wedding gown.
Take a look through our gallery for our favourite moments captured of the bride and groom. Stay tuned for the wedding dress reveal!
And remember ladies, just like Carrie in Sex and The City once said “Clooney’s like a Chanel suit. He’ll always be in style.”
