At a pregnancy friendly resort, the details are ready before you arrive: a prenatal massage on the spa menu, mocktails at sunset, somewhere quiet to rest and, ideally, a babymoon package that bundles it all together. The twelve resorts below each list a pregnancy-specific treatment or package on their own websites, from a hotel at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge to an island lodge on the Great Barrier Reef.
Look for a spa with prenatal treatments on the menu, food and drink you can enjoy, like mocktails, and somewhere calm, whether that's an adults-only retreat or a lodge with only a few guests. An easy trip from home helps too.
For the health side, including when to travel, flying while pregnant and insurance, our guide to the best babymoon destinations covers it in detail.
A coastal hotel at Watch Hill, about three hours from New York City and 90 minutes from Boston. Its Babymoon Package includes chocolate-covered strawberries and non-alcoholic champagne on arrival, an Ocean House baby onesie, a US$250 credit towards the spa's Demeter's Grace Massage, a daily breakfast credit and a spa gift. The offer runs to 31 December 2026, so check it's been renewed if you're travelling later.
Terranea sits on 102 oceanfront acres on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. There's no babymoon package, but its spa lists a Mommy-To-Be Massage from the fourteenth week of pregnancy. It's US$306 for 60 minutes from Monday to Thursday, including the service charge, and a little more on weekends.
At the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge in historic Fort Baker, Cavallo Point has a Mama Goddess Babymoon Package: 15% off the room of your choice, a 60-minute Mama Goddess Massage or Mama Glow Facial, and a babymoon gift. Book it at least three weeks before you arrive, and note that blackout dates may apply.
For a wine country babymoon without the wine tasting, Auberge du Soleil has 50 rooms and suites on a terraced hillside among 33 acres of olive and oak trees in Rutherford. Its spa offers a prenatal massage for hotel guests, at US$310 for 60 minutes before gratuity and tax.
Set beside Oak Creek among Sedona's red rocks, this is the calm desert option, about two hours' drive from Phoenix airport. L'Auberge de Sedona's spa menu includes a 60 or 90-minute Maternity Massage using oils blended for pregnancy.
The resort sits on the lake and has a meditation room overlooking the water. Its spa offers a Comforting Prenatal Massage from US$160 for 50 minutes midweek, an Organic Prenatal Facial, and a Prenatal Mineral Soak kept at 99 degrees Fahrenheit. The resort recommends talking to your doctor before booking the soak.
An all-inclusive beach resort in Nuevo Vallarta, on Mexico's Pacific coast. Its Babymoon Family Experience costs US$505, taxes included, when you book any suite. It includes a spa water journey, a 50-minute Maternal Caress Massage or facial, a photo session with five digital photos and a special amenity for the mum-to-be. It's non-refundable, so be sure of your dates.
Sandals offers an all-inclusive Caribbean babymoon package for expecting couples, with breakfast in bed and soothing massages among the treats. Inclusions and resorts change, so check the current details on the Sandals page before you book.

Its Babymoon Package is four nights with all meals, a 60-minute pregnancy massage and 30-minute facial for the mum-to-be, a 90-minute massage for her partner, mocktails every evening and two restorative eye pillows. It's from A$11,776 for two in a North Beachfront Room, with helicopter transfers extra.
At qualia on Hamilton Island, the spa is only open to people staying there, and it has a Mother to Be menu. Pregnancy massage is offered in the second and third trimesters only, from A$235 for 60 minutes, and facials, manicures and pedicures suit the whole pregnancy.
Close to Sydney, Bells sits beside Bouddi National Park. Its Babymoon Package includes dinner for two each night, full cooked breakfasts, two 60-minute massages (pregnancy-specific massage is available) and a babymoon gift. Midweek, it's from A$1,083 a night for two in a King Suite. It isn't available in peak periods.
