Over the course of the first four episodes, viewers were enthralled by the development of Colin and Penelope’s love story. Their romance unfolded gradually, with stolen glances and heart fluttering moments that kept us on the edge of our seats!
With Colin’s occasional fits of jealousy and Pen’s remarkable transformation–let’s not forget her new stunning wardrobe full of melancholic greens, which added a whole new dimension to her character and the London social scene. It’s safe to say that Penelope’s “re-entry” into the marriage-mart ended up working out for the best!
Diving deeper into the Bridgerton family dynamics, we witnessed the simmering tension between Eloise Bridgerton and Penelope, stemming from their revelation in Season 2. This exploration of familial relationships allowed us to connect with the characters on a personal level, empathising with their ups and downs as they navigated love, secrecy and friendship in Regency-era London.
Now, of course we’re all hung up over the captivating love story of Colin and Penelope, but we had a new casting for the show for season 3! Hannah Dodd replaced Francesca Bridgerton, who was originally portrayed by actress Ruby Stokes!
The English actress has so far nailed the role of Francesca, effortlessly portraying the story of her debut into society to rave reviews. Making a love story of her own and not following the Bridgerton family cliche and her mother’s obsession with her finding a “Love Match”.
But, let’s not forget about the other siblings and their partners. We have some updates in that area for you, too!
Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley) also returned for Season 3 of Bridgerton as the Viscount and the Viscountess Bridgerton. And Ashley and Bailey’s chemistry playing the couple showcased that the pair “are just getting started”.
The premiere of Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2 took place at Leicester Square in London. And believe us, we wish we received an invite!
Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton discussed more intense scenes, a “romancing Mister Bridgerton” and additional exciting drama that will be seen in sneak peeks of this series, undoubtedly making fans go wild.
To add to the anticipation and to bring the show to life–Adjoa Andoh, who plays Lady Danbury–captivated guests with an impromptu piano performance, adding an enchanting touch to the evening’s festivities.
