If you’re a Bride-to-Be or a Wifey for Lifey, you’ll likely be well-versed in the art of bed sheets (thousand-thread count, please); so this may come as a shock to you.
Researchers from the University of Florida have found that bed bugs have a colour preference. These little lice-looking parasites feed on your blood and are named ‘bed bugs’ because they love hiding in the warmth of your bed!
The research team found that bed bugs prefer sheets that are red or black (more than 50% of the bugs chose to hide in these colours); the colours they least liked were yellow and green.
It would seem that the traditional ‘sexy sheet colours’ may not be so sexy after-all.
