Brad Pitt has opened up for the first time about his divorce from Angelina Jolie, since the shocking news was made public, admitting the reason behind the divorce was self-inflicted, mainly due to heavy drinking.
“I hit the lottery and I still would waste my time on those hollow pursuits,” he revealed in an interview with GQ Style.

“I mean, we have a winery. I enjoy wine very, very much, but I just ran it to the ground. I had to step away for a minute,” he said.
“And truthfully I could drink a Russian under the table with his own vodka. I was a professional … I mean I stopped everything except boozing when I started my family. But even this last year, you know — things I wasn’t dealing with. I was boozing too much. It’s just become a problem.”

The star goes on to reveal it’s been “half a year” since he quit drinking, is undergoing therapy, and that he and Jolie are committed to now resolving the matters amicably and in private.
