Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse Just Tied the Knot in a Cozy Countryside Wedding in Hungary

Victoria’s Secret Model Barbara Palvin and actor Dylan Sprouse are officially married!

On Saturday, July 15, the couple wed in Barbara’s home country of Hungary after getting engaged in September of 2022. With 115 guests in attendance, the nuptials were primarily planned by Barbara and her sister Anita, and consisted of a church wedding, a civil ceremony, and a traditional Hungarian reception.

The bride wore an elegant custom wedding dress by Vivienne Westwood, which featured a scoop neckline, a subtle corset bodice, and a draped skirt. To accentuate her youthful glow, she accessorized with a fountain veil, 1960s-inspired gloves, and a 1990s-inspired diamond choker from Tiffany and Co.

As for her bridal beauty, Barbara went with carefree, natural waves softly pinned back with diamond pins, and light makeup.

The three-part wedding kicked off with a traditional ceremony in the same church where Barbara’s parents tied the knot 34 years ago. Next was a civil ceremony followed by the reception, which was held in Harlekin Birtok, an events venue owned by her parents.

After both the church and civil ceremonies, the bride took her first dance in a custom-made dress by the Italian brand Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini. This second outfit was a sister garment to her primary dress: it also boasted of a scoop neckline and thick straps, and similarly incorporated a corset design with its paneled bodice. She styled it with Jimmy Choo heels and a sweet white ribbon pinned to her half-updo.

For her third outfit of the night, Barbara wore a red dress by the Hungarian brand MERO. The label was founded by Péter Merő, a ballet dancer turned self-taught designer who discovered his love for fashion in the theater sewing room.

“There is also a Hungarian tradition where you have to wear a red dress after midnight—it’s called ‘menyecske ruha,’” the bride shared with Vogue. The tradition, according to Hungarian belief, signifies the wedding milestone—formerly a blushing bride, the woman becomes a wife entering the next chapter of her life.

For the midnight affair, Dylan also changed out of his black tuxedo into a ruby suit in rich velvet.

According to the Vogue report, the couple is planning a second wedding in California, scheduled sometime in the fall.

Congratulations to the newlyweds!
