Their Love Story
Anne-Marie and Christopher’s love story kickstarted at Greek school, where fate seemed to bring them closer through their shared family dynamics—Chris a triplet, and Anne-Marie a twin. But it wasn’t until they crossed paths again at a Greek NUGAS university ball that their unspoken connection was established. Fast forward to university days in 2015, and their love story began to flourish.

The Proposal
The proposal was an eagerly anticipated moment for many, especially for Anne-Marie’s beloved grandfather, whose heartfelt wish was to witness his little girl engaged. Set against the breathtaking skyline of Melbourne at the Langham hotel, this dreamy proposal, perfectly planned by Chris, unfolded just in time for Anne-Marie’s grandfather to witness his cherished dream come true. It was a moment that soared high above the cityscape, mirroring Anne-Marie’s love for Paris and New York, with her radiant-cut dream ring.
The Wedding
Picture a winter wonderland wedding, golden and moody, encapsulating elements of Old Hollywood glamor, New York sophistication, and the roaring 1920s. Their union at their Greek church, steeped in tradition and unified by the priests who had christened them, set the stage for a celebration that oozed elegance and sophistication.
The State Library and Parliament House Victoria served as picturesque backdrops for capturing timeless moments that perfectly aligned with Anne-Marie’s fondness for old New York courtroom style weddings—a nod to her favorite classic movies like “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and “Sabrina.”
The Venue
As for the venue, Metropolis held a special place in their hearts, especially since it was overlooked by the very balcony where Chris proposed. It was bedecked in gold, black, and white, with tassels reminiscent of the roaring ’20s, also reflecting Anne-Marie’s personal touch of pink.
With a guest list of 230, their big fat Greek wedding infused the night with Greek music, dance, and an unforgettable celebration.
Anne-Marie’s Dress
Anne-Marie’s Alin Le Kal gown, a stunning raw silk blush pink ballgown adorned with pearls and crystals, was a masterpiece that fulfilled a promise made to her late father—a promise stemming from the movie “Coming to America.” The dress journey, spanning nine months and crafted over three months with meticulous hand-beaded details and mantilla veil, was a homage to her father’s sentiment, radiating a touch of princess-like elegance reminiscent of Anne Hathaway’s style in the Princess Diaries.
Cultural Elements and Cherished Moments
Their Greek heritage was incorporated seamlessly into their day. From the traditional church ceremony to siblings playing vital roles, to the live Greek band and the joyous Greek celebration at the venue, every moment resonated with their cultural roots.
Favourite Moments
For Anne-Marie, the journey of creating her dress was a cherished experience, filled with moments connecting her with her father, grandfather, mother, and grandmother. Although the dress process was her favorite leading up to the big day, her best experience was when she walked down the aisle, meeting Chris at the altar, it was like they were in their own bubble of happiness, encapsulating the essence of their love.
