Perth-based AE’LKEMI’s latest couture collection takes its inspiration from the iconic 1983 film Scarface and the result is a fusion of seducing sillouhettes and cuts, paired with a palette that’s synonymous with the 70s and 80s era.
AE’LKEMI designer, Alvin Fernandez has focused on a colour scheme of nude, black, gold and masala and used fabrics such as jersey, sequins and hand-beaded lace to pay tribute to the film’s heroine, Elvira Hancock (played by Michelle Pfeiffer).
