Abu Dhabi hosts the much-anticipated Abu Dhabi Travel and Tourism Week.
Organized by The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), this event took place from September 25th- 30th and was centered around driving economic growth, fostering collaboration, and elevating Abu Dhabi’s status as a global tourism powerhouse.
The initiative aligned with the Emirate’s broader vision to welcome over 24 million visitors this year and boost business and leisure tourism industries, driving economic impact to the capital and beyond.
The week kicked off with the first City Tourism Briefing event and continued with the roll-out of the Abu Dhabi Business Events Forum, The Future Hospitality Summit and The Abu Dhabi Wedding Show which our Founder Wendy El-Khoury delivered a keynote presentation at.

Abu Dhabi Wedding Show: September 27th-30th
The Abu Dhabi Wedding Show (ADWS) took place from September 27th to 30th as a prominent component of the Abu Dhabi Travel and Tourism Week, organized by The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi). Held at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, this invitation-only event was designed to unite the Emirate’s travel and tourism sector with the global wedding industry, fostering its growth and reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s status as a global tourism hub.
ADWS emerged as an international platform where some of the world’s most influential wedding industry experts converged to share their knowledge, form new partnerships, and collectively shape the future of the wedding industry. Wedded Wonderland’s Founder, Wendy El-Khoury, graced the event as a keynote speaker, delivering an enlightening talk on the topic of ‘Strategic Positioning in the =Destination Wedding Market.’ Her insightful presentation added an invaluable dimension to the event, shedding light on essential strategies and trends in the dynamic world of destination weddings.
This event marked a groundbreaking milestone as the first-ever B2B Wedding Show in Abu Dhabi of its kind. The flagship event attracted a diverse range of participants, including international and local wedding planners, as well as local vendors and wedding media professionals with connections to the Wedding and Celebration industry. This unique gathering served as a significant milestone in advancing Abu Dhabi’s prominence in the world of weddings and celebrations.
