Socheata and Martin met through mutual friends and felt an instant connection … not long after Martin proposed at “The Peak” in Hong Kong, with stunning views overlooking the city skyline. “I was scared of heights and wondered why he kept urging me to the edge and that’s when he proposed over-looking the beautiful city of Hong Kong. I was in complete shock and surprise at first but then overjoyed,” Socheata told Wedded Wonderland.

Fast-forward to their dream destination wedding in Phuket, at Cape Sienna resort, where they were surrounded by their closest family and friends. “Our dream was to have an intimate resort-style theme overseas with breath-taking views that couldn’t be replicated locally. We chose to have an intimate wedding to celebrate our love with the people that were closest to us. And to have that come true meant the world!

Reflecting back on their special day, the couple told Wedded Wonderland the most memorable moment was their first dance as husband and wife. “Our first dance led into a spectacular array of fireworks that felt endless in a moment of joy and bliss.”
