A Traditional Samoan Wedding Celebration

Mercy and Chanel’s wedding was a celebration of culture, pure love, and happiness.

The couple tied the knot in front of their loved ones and close friends and the couple distinctively remember looking out to the crowd during their ceremony feeling overwhelmed with all the love they received on their special day.

Mercy and Chanel went for a bold colour palette that was heightened with gorgeous shades of burgundy flowers and lush greenery, giving a whimsical feel to the wedding. Friends of the couple from Singapore surprised them with their choice of favours for their weddings guests, homemade brownies with personalised boxes which wrote ‘Mr & Mirs Schmidt’ with a sticker saying ‘faafetai’ meaning thank you in Samoan.

The reception was adorned with a stunning floral wall, beautiful chandeliers and a six tiered wedding cake.

Chanel surprised her husband and all their wedding guests performing a traditional Samoan dance. Being her first time in the Taupou, she was proud and honoured to represent her culture on her wedding day.

Wedding guests flew from all over the world and interstate to celebrate the couple’s union and their love.

Congratulations to Mercy & Chanel!
