John-Pierre & Claudia tied the knot in a stunning and sophisticated wedding in the heart of Sydney.
The couple looked an absolute vision, with the Bride donning a sleek and elegant gown by Lillian Khallouf, while the Groom, who also happens to be the Designer and owner of Tailor & Co, looked dashing in a luxurious custom made suit designed by John-Pierre Georges and the team at Tailor & Co.
Both Claudia and John-Pierre changed their outfits for the reception with Claudia opting for a sexy feathered mini skirt, while John-Pierre changed into sleek ivory linen and wool blend dinner jacket to party the night away!
After working with many grooms at Tailor & Co in the lead up to their Big Day when the time finally came for John-Pierre to tie the knot, he was equipped with more than enough knowledge!
“It has certainly given me insight on approaching the lead up to the big day. Seeing so many grooms over the years has been an opportunity to see where and how some have been creative with their time management and dealings with suppliers.”
Experiencing his own wedding also changed the way he thought about weddings in general. “It’s an interesting perspective to have. Having gone through this myself now and being involved in almost every part, it allowed me to go through many different experiences and moments with not only my fiancé but also with different vendors. Although the wedding day is the most important and memorable moment, the lead up with your fiancé is just as important and it shouldn’t feel like a chore. Understanding this has allowed us at Tailor & Co to continue refining the experience for our grooms and bridal parties. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, we want our grooms to enjoy the process from start to finish without adding any further pressure.”
Reflecting back on their special day, the couple told Wedded Wonderland, “Our vision was to create a unique experience from start to finish. An experience not only for ourselves to be in awe in but also for our family and friends too. Bree Taylor from White Rabbit Projects executed this to absolute perfection, our reception screamed ‘us’ and had a euphoric atmosphere. We loved the unique aspect of taking a blank canvas and making it completely our own. One of the unique features at our wedding was the long kings table that we shared with our family and friends; it was 40 metres long. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, we had to allow for a 1.5m space per family of 10 (which we filled with beautiful florals from Hermetica and candles). But the feeling was still there. We shared an intimate dining experience to celebrate our marriage.”
Covid restrictions certainly influenced many other parts of the wedding and although it was tricky, they decided it was for the better.
“Although we had to limit our numbers, we still celebrated with our closest family and friends. We were able to share an intimate celebration and dinner with our loved ones. We could not have imagined it any other way. Looking back at it now, considering the restrictions and circumstances we were in, the day was nothing but perfect. We were and still are so overwhelmed with happiness, excitement and love”.
Be inspired, Fairies!
