It was mutual friends that brought Nicole and Michael together, although it would be over a year after first meeting that the two would make it official.
After two trips to Vegas, one to Mexico, and a lot of coaxing by each of their best friends, Nicole and Michael slowly began to realise they were perfect for each other. While on a cruise in Mexico, Nicole’s best friend asked her if she was sure she didn’t like Michael.
“After that I realised that I had started to develop feelings for him,” she said.
The proposal was elaborately set up, with Michael enlisting the help of family and friends. While Nicole considers herself hard to surprise, she was caught off guard by the moment. Under the guise of a gas leak in Michael’s apartment building, Nicole was led up to the rooftop where she heard “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys.
“I saw Mike standing on the helipad in a circle of candles and roses and I was blown away. I started crying as I walked up to him and, with all of our family and closest friends watching nearby, he got down on one knee and popped the question!”
With only two weeks left before the wedding, Nicole decided to change the colour theme after seeing a video online of a black and white wedding. Together with her helpful vendors, they created a wedding of timeless elegance.
The wedding was vibrant and full of energy, and included a confetti canon to top off the ceremony. With so much excitement in the air, the couple almost missed their first dance as their guests took to the floor and didn’t want to stop dancing.
“Every moment of the entire day and night was a fairy tale dream come true! It was more beautiful and magical than I could have ever imagined.”
