From the start, Justine knew her wedding to Dimitris would be larger than life.
“It was definitely ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding.’ Nothing about this wedding was small. No matter how much we tried to avoid it.”
With a kitchen tea for 100 guests and two engagement parties, it was no surprise that the wedding boasted a guest list of 357 people.
With a theme of white and gold, Justine worked closely with her florist, Tender Thoughts, and reception venue, Conco D’oro, to bring her vision to life. Wearing a Demetrios bridal gown from The Sposa Group, Justine looked a stunning vision in white lace as the couple exchanged vows at St Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church – the same church where her parents married. In honour of her late grandfathers, Justine had two charms belonging to them around her bouquet.
The reception was a fun and lively Greek fare, with a live bouzouki and toubeleki player and DJ keeping the dancefloor full for the whole night. However of the entire wedding, Justine says it was the father-daughter dance that stood out.
“There was nothing more in this world that I wanted but to have that moment with my dad. I’m such a daddy’s girl. It wasn’t easy letting go.”
