Ally and Mikey met when they were just only 16 years old and the two were inseparable ever since. Mikey took Ally to the exact spot where he asked her to be his girlfriend when they were 16, at the beautiful Palm Beach in Sydney. Mikey planned a picnic by the beach while the two looked out into the ocean, he got down on one knee and popped the question!
The couple’s wedding day fell on their 10 year anniversary and tied the knot in the magical city of Ravello in Italy. A small town on the Amalfi Coast known for its incredible beauty and immaculate scenery the couple said “I do” overlooking the picture perfect landscapes surrounded by green hedges and sandstone structures, giving that old European charm to the setting. The couple travelled to the Amalfi Coast several times and fell in love with the place each time they visited, so there was no doubt it was going to be the perfect place to start their next chapter!
Given that it was a destination wedding, the couple had many events and travel plans around Europe for their guests leading up to the big day. The couple celebrated their Hens and Bucks night in Mykonos, held a dinner on the famous wharf in Sorrento followed by karaoke and a trip to the hilltops of Positano for a dinner overlooking the town. We can’t imagine a better trip that this!
One of the bride’s most memorable memory from her special day was seeing Mikey for the first time as she was walking down the aisle and there was not one dry eye in the room, a truly magical moment.
Aside from the location some of the couple’s most unique element of their wedding was was having the Bouzouki player and singer fly in from Greece to be a part of their day. The guests met the groom in the town of Ravello and followed him through the streets to the wedding venue playing Greek music all the way.
The couple’s reception was truly breathtaking. Their guests were seated on one long rectangular table overlooking the lush and peaceful scenery of Ravello. The table was styled simply yet elegantly with white floral arrangements and classic candelabras all underneath sandstone arches illuminated by candlelight.
A beautiful and romantic wedding for a gorgeous couple!
