A Heartfelt Wedding In Byron Bay

On a family vacation in Mauritius, Jordan planned a romantic surprise proposal for Stephanie. The two got up early to board a private boat that took the couple out to the sea to swim with dolphins. Stephanie noticed that Jordan was becoming agitated and it wasn’t until the two got back on the boat that awaited a delicious breakfast. Stephanie thought no wonder why Jordan was agitated!

Jordan then pulled out a book that he illustrated to explain why he wanted to marry Stephanie. After a light drizzle of rain, a rainbow appeared over the island, Jordan finally went down on one knee and asked Stephanie to marry him!

The couple’s wedding was a fun, light-hearted, fresh and inclusive day, a true reflection of their personalities. Their love of music and nature was certainly present throughout their special day as the couple decided to feature a live musician to play the couple’s favourite songs at their outdoor ceremony with beautiful native florals. “Our arbour was really important to us – it was a huge circle covered in beautiful white and native flowers and lush botanical greenery. It’s definitely one of our favourite elements of the day,” explains Stephanie.

Stephanie and Jordan also decided to add a sentimental touch to their wedding. A table with photos of their loved ones who had passed were a reminder of the important roles they played in their lives and to honour their souls on the couple’s special day.

“Coming from a Greek family, there was a lot of pressure on me to have a very traditional wedding. Jordan and I really firmly resisted this,” and their wedding was far from anything traditional.

At the end of the night, a multi-coloured, rainbow, hippy themed Byron Bay double decker bus arrived to take their wedding guests back to the main town.

The inclusiveness and diversity of the couple’s wedding is something that made their special day so memorable and all guests enjoyed sharing this day with Stephanie and Jordan.

Stephanie also had a second outfit for the night festivities of her special day, changing into a silk cropped top and trousers for the dance floor.

Congratulations to Stephanie and Jordan!
