It all began with PJ, armed with a list of qualities for his dream wife. Thanks to a nudge from his mom, a TV interview during Miss South Africa 2019 introduces him to Errin, and let’s say the rest is history!
Now, let’s talk about the proposal, shall we? PJ, being the strategic genius he is, tricks Errin into a celebratory dinner at the Four Seasons, Westcliff, where he swoops in with a tux and a ring box. Tears, a heartfelt yes and then another surprise—off to a mystery location for an engagement party with their family and close friends.
Onto the big day! La Roche Estate sets the stage for their fairytale, complete with a nature show of misty mountains and a sprinkle of rain. Most brides might panic, but for Errin, it was pure magic—rainbows, gusts of wind, and all. It was like a scene from a movie, and yes, they paused the ceremony just to soak it all in.
Let’s talk aesthetics! PJ and Errin envisioned a wedding with textured neutrals and a mix of fabrics and florals. Imagine a blend of velvet, linen, metals, crystal, and preserved florals creating an enchanting vibe.
Now, for the highlights! Their wedding had some serious unique touches—the father of the groom officiated, giving it that extra personal touch. They even jazzed up the venue’s terracotta flooring with a custom vinyl design that took three days to complete. A signature wedding scent also wafted through the air, leaving everyone feeling nostalgic. Instead of traditional favors, they hired an artist to create live illustrations for their guests—talk about a keepsake!
Why La Roche Estate? It was a no-brainer for this couple. Located in the Franschhoek valley, the glass chapel surrounded by mountains was straight out of a fairy tale.
Errin found her dream dresses at Vonvé Bridal Couture. The Fabrizia by Milla Nova stole her heart instantly—a Mikado gown fit for a princess, with a heart-shaped corset, modest slit, and exquisite train. Then, for the reception, she slipped into Romelia—a beaded sheath gown oozing elegance. Both dresses were crafted with top-notch fabrics, drawing inspiration from Italian architecture. Classic bride vibes all the way!
And the cherry on top? A vivid rainbow appearing at their ceremony just before they said “I do.” The kind of moment you’d expect in a movie!
Errin’s advice for future brides? Don’t sweat the things you can’t control. Sometimes, a storm might just bring the most spectacular rainbow.
