Proposal
In 2017, a love story unfolded when a mutual friend introduced Asal and Farhoud. Little did they know that four years later, a heartfelt proposal would mark the beginning of a journey towards a dream wedding. However, life had its own plans, and a health issue delayed their initial dream of tying the knot on their engagement anniversary.
Planning the Wedding
Despite the setback, the couple remained resilient. A year later, in 2023, they embarked on the wedding planning process. The date was set for July 12, and invitations were sent out with excitement. Unfortunately, family matters intervened, prompting a difficult decision to postpone the wedding. Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, a month after canceling everything, a silver lining emerged. The couple received the news they had been waiting for, and the wedding was back on.
The Venue
The venue, Ciragan Palace, held a special place in Asals heart, having attended a wedding there years prior. The dream of a grand wedding and a magnificent dress was finally coming true, culminating in their big day on August 31, 2023—a date that coincided with a full moon, adding an extra touch of magic to the celebration.
Friends and family traveled from around the globe to join the couple in Turkey, creating an atmosphere of love and support that made the wedding even more memorable. The couple’s favorite moment, walking down the palace stairs, was described as truly magical—a realization of a long-held wish.
The Dress
Asal wore a divine Galia Lahav gown that fit like a glove! She traveled to New York to pick up her dresses, and every detail was etched out to perfection. The dedicated staff at Galia Lahav played a crucial role, assisting her in realizing her vision through detailed sketches. The second dress, a stunning addition from the 2023 collection, was a spontaneous yet irresistible choice during the alterations.
Advice to Future Brides
Reflecting on the journey, the bride offered advice to future couples: take it easy and go with the flow. Despite the challenges, she emphasized the importance of enjoying the moment, as everything meant to be will fall into place. The trials and tribulations only added to the richness of their wedding story, making the day 1000 times more worthwhile.
