Today, the month of Ramadan begins for our Muslim friends, and in honour of this – we just had to celebrate this beautiful Muslim wedding!
Yusuf and Ridda went to the same High School and attended the same University for a year, yet never crossed paths. On a fateful day, the couple met through work – Yusuf is a lawyer and Ridda is a paralegal. The couple started to talk outside of work and realised that they had to be together! After a year, Yusuf followed Muslim tradition and visited Ridda’s family to ask for her hand in marriage. And as it turns out… Yusuf’s and Ridda’s fathers were best friends in high school, with Ridda’s father setting up Yusuf’s parents and attending their wedding, too! Talk about meant-to-be!
Words From The Bride:
“We initially didn’t want a wedding but then decided to have a small one because everyone said we would regret it later. We wanted something different since we both don’t like the typical party and dance all night type of reception. We were sure we wanted a relaxed, carefree, intimate lunch with a view where we would enjoy a nice meal and the company of our family. We were firm on a day-time reception and would not budge no matter what! It was hard to find the right venue that would cater to the vibe we wanted, and the atmosphere we were trying to achieve. Choosing the Marquee Room at Panorama House knowing only 150 people fit, was exactly what we were looking for!”
