Fate intervened when Pinky and Bobby met after a Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre show in Hong Kong.
After a friend’s birthday dinner, Bobby offered to help Pinky get home, in true gentleman style.
“I got of the cab and as the door shut close, the craziest thing happened – the entire window on the door shattered and there were glass bits all over Bobby! I offered to let him use my bathroom to take any glass pieces out,” Pinky told us.
“We ended up chatting on my balcony until dawn. That was a special night for both of us and our friendship eventually blossomed into romance.”
The happy couple’s heart-warming meet-cute eventually led them to a stunning destination wedding in gorgeous Bali – choosing the driest season to avoid rain on the big day!
Knowing they wanted a huge ceremony, but also wanted the intimacy of a smaller ceremony at home, Pinky and Bobby signed their marriage papers a whole 8 months before their actual wedding, having a small gathering with just their families.
Staying away from popular themes and traditions, the newlyweds chose a colour scheme of green, black and white with golden accents and had a huge bridal party of 20!
“The theme was botanical and I went for darker shades of greenery and requested to use only white flowers.”
The stunning Indonesian resort was perfect for their big day, especially with the stunning swimming pool that was perched on a cliffside with the most spectacular view.
“When I saw photos of [the venue], I envisioned a ceremonial arch over the pool, and on my wedding day my dream came true.”
The intricate planning that went into this gorgeous wedding paid off, as the stunning resort looked absolutely flawless – something right out of a fairy tale.
One of the most memorable moments for the couple happened before the ceremony itself.
“During the tea ceremony, which is a Chinese tradition, the blessings given by our parents made us so overwhelmed with emotion, we felt so loved.”
Even though Pinky was dragged into the pool by a guest at the reception, she didn’t let that stop her from celebrating with the love of her life.
