Karapetyan, whose billionaire father is reportedly best friends with none other than Vladimir Putin (don’t worry – he wasn’t in attendance!), and his social media star bride Lilit married in Moscow’s Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Armenian Apostolic Church over the weekend, before a opulent reception at the Safisa banquet hall.
The extravagant affair included two dazzling wedding dresses, a giant floral archway Kim K would be proud of, crystal-adorned centerpieces, over 200 guests, and a gravity-defying high wedding cake almost five metres tall topped with thousands of fresh flowers that looked almost way too good to eat (almost).
Even though Putin may not have put…in (sorry, we had to!) an appearance, that’s not to say the event was without its share of big names. Guests apparently included Olympic ice dance gold medalist Tatiana Navka and singer Vera Brezhneva, who also happens to be an actress who has won the title of sexiest woman in Russia – twice!
Bride Lilit, though, has almost 13k followers on Instagram – nowhere near Kim Kardashian’s 103 million, but still pretty impressive! While there’s no word yet on who designed her gorgeous frocks, we think she looked even prettier than a Disney princess. And considering Karapetyan’s uncle is the prime minister of Armenia, there’s no denying this was the Armenian wedding of the year. They even had a wedding hashtag (#karenlilit – check it out) which we all know is the marker of any good wedding!
