Anthony Vaccarello's decade at Saint Laurent appears to have come to an end.
Following his Spring/Summer 2027 show in Paris on September 29, the designer's latest collection is being widely viewed as his final for the house. The all-gold runway, staged beneath the Eiffel Tower, had all the markings of a grand farewell, bringing his nearly ten-year tenure to a striking close.
Since taking the creative reins at Saint Laurent in 2016, Vaccarello has built a distinctly sleek, sensual and occasionally rebellious vision of the house. His Saint Laurent woman has never been particularly interested in dressing by the rules, and that attitude has translated surprisingly well to the wedding wardrobe.
Over the years, his designs have appeared on brides who treated their wedding day as another opportunity to express their personal style. There were royal references, pared-back gowns, sharp silhouettes, lace minis and after-party dresses that looked far more at home on a dance floor than in a bridal boutique.
And that is exactly what makes these wedding looks worth bookmarking. From Monaco royalty to fashion girls and pop stars, these brides found different ways to make Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello part of their wedding stories.
As we look back at Vaccarello's Saint Laurent era, here are the brides who proved that saying “I do” does not necessarily mean dressing like a traditional bride.
And if you are currently somewhere between I know what I want and I have saved 847 wedding dresses and somehow know nothing, that is where a little personalised planning help can come in handy. Wedded Concierge connects couples with trusted wedding experts, venues and suppliers, making the process of turning a very specific vision into an actual wedding considerably less chaotic.

When your grandmother is Grace Kelly, the wedding fashion expectations are, understandably, a little intense.
For her 2019 civil wedding to Dimitri Rassam in Monaco, Charlotte Casiraghi wore a custom Saint Laurent dress designed by Anthony Vaccarello. The gray brocade minidress featured three oversized bows down the front and a fitted silhouette that felt distinctly modern while still carrying a major dose of Monaco history.
The connection was intentional. Charlotte's dress echoed the brocade Christian Dior dress worn by Grace Kelly for her own civil wedding to Prince Rainier III in 1956.
Rather than recreating her grandmother's look literally, Vaccarello translated the reference into something much more contemporary. The result was part royal heirloom, part Parisian cool girl and very much its own thing.
It also proved that a civil ceremony does not automatically mean a pared-back outfit. Sometimes the courthouse deserves a fashion moment too.

Model Laura Love took the Saint Laurent route for her 2022 New York City wedding to Graham Deering, wearing a Saint Laurent gown designed under Vaccarello.
Her brief was refreshingly straightforward. She wanted sleeves, a timeless feel and something that still looked modern. The resulting gown delivered exactly that, with a streamlined silhouette that felt sophisticated without veering into overly traditional territory.
There is something particularly appealing about Love's approach because the dress does not rely on excessive embellishment to announce itself as a wedding gown. The silhouette does most of the work.
It is a useful reminder that sometimes the most memorable bridal look is not the one with the most going on. A strong cut, beautiful fabric and the right attitude can carry the entire outfit.

For her wedding to Alex James in 2024, Annie Major, the Head of VIP & Influence for the Americas at Saint Laurent, chose a Saint Laurent look from Vaccarello's Fall/Winter 2022 collection.
The dress featured a sleek column silhouette and tie-back detailing, creating a bridal look that was polished but far from predictable. She paired it with Saint Laurent shoes, making the ensemble feel deliberately cohesive rather than like a traditional gown with a designer label attached.
The appeal here is the versatility. The dress could easily exist outside a wedding context, which is precisely what makes it feel so current. It is glamorous enough for the aisle but still has the kind of sharpness that makes you wonder where else you could wear it.
And honestly, a wedding dress with a post-wedding life? We love a practical icon.

Jodie Hill took the concept of traditional bridalwear and gave it a considerably darker spin for her 2025 wedding to Jamie Reid.
Her wedding wardrobe included a Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello lace mini dress as one of her later looks. While her overall bridal wardrobe played with multiple silhouettes and moods, the Saint Laurent moment stood out for its distinctly nontraditional energy.
A lace mini might not be the first thing that comes to mind when someone says “wedding dress,” but that is exactly the point. The look felt more like an after-hours fashion moment than a conventional bridal gown, proving that a wedding wardrobe can evolve throughout the day.
Ceremony dress? Check. Reception look? Check. Something for when the champagne starts doing its job? Absolutely.

Charli XCX's 2025 wedding to George Daniel gave us another excellent example of Saint Laurent's place in the modern bridal wardrobe.
For the ceremony, Charli wore Vivienne Westwood. But when it was time to move into the celebrations, she changed into a white Saint Laurent minidress by Anthony Vaccarello.
It was a fitting choice for the after-party. Shorter, sharper and considerably more dance-floor friendly, the mini felt like the natural evolution of a traditional bridal gown into something made for actually having fun.
Because eventually, every bride reaches the same important question: Can I dance in this?
If the answer is no, it might be time for Look Two.
What connects these women is not one particular silhouette. It is the willingness to treat bridalwear as fashion rather than a uniform.
Charlotte Casiraghi used Saint Laurent to reinterpret a family fashion legacy. Laura Love opted for understated sophistication. Annie Major embraced a sleek, wearable silhouette. Jodie Hill played with nontraditional bridal dressing, while Charli XCX used Saint Laurent to take her wedding wardrobe straight into party territory.
That may be Vaccarello's most interesting contribution to modern bridal style. His Saint Laurent did not insist that a wedding dress had to look a certain way. Instead, it gave the bride room to decide what her version of bridalwear looked like.
And perhaps that is the best way to look back at his Saint Laurent era. Not through one signature wedding dress, but through the women who used his designs to make their own rules.
As Vaccarello closes what appears to be his Saint Laurent chapter, these brides leave behind a rather compelling bridal moodboard: sleek, sensual, unexpected and never too interested in playing by the traditional rules.
