13 photos that prove Smash Cakes are the best thing to happen to dessert since… ever!

We’re not embarrassed to say that we’re the type of girls who order dessert whenever we eat out and the richer and gooier, the better; so when we heard about the newest trend in cakes – SmashCakes – we knew we’d be fans.

Claudia Abrahams is the one-woman team behind Sydney Smash Cakes, which gives the usual and predictable birthday cake a modern, fun and interactive twist. A cake that does away with the traditional sponge and allows you to pick up your chocolate dome-smashing weapon of choice and take aim.

Drawing on her expertise as an artist and former graphic designer, Claudia has created everything from skulls and racing cars, to Coke and Sprite bottles and makes mini take-home Smash Cakes as well as massive 6.2kg creations. Claudia also caters for different themes and occasions, as well as corporate and gluten-free clients and ensures each handmade SmashCake is like edible art.

Before you click here to buy your own decadent creation from Sydney Smash Cakes, take a moment to appreciate the desserts that would leave even Willy Wonka wanting more!
