In a setting as warm and bright as their love, Kym and Phil wed on the 31st of August in Costa Brava, Spain. The Australian couple invited eighty of their loved ones to the destination wedding, sealing their commitment to one another in one of the dreamiest venues we’ve seen in recent memory! The Venue: Marimurtra Botanical Garden in Costa Brava
Sitting along the sunny cliffs of the Blanes municipality, the enchanting Marimurtra Botanical Garden was the chosen venue for Kym and Phil’s gorgeous destination wedding. Just a 40-minute ride away from Barcelona, this Mediterranean paradise was the perfect backdrop for their intimate daytime celebration.
Known as Sa Forcanera, the cozy cove boasts deep blue-green waters, pockets of sand, and an unending view of the panoramic horizon. Yachts were also parked in the luxury spot, which opens to the Balearic Sea.
This Costa Brava venue is notable for its abundant foliage, which creates a stunning natural backdrop for weddings. The garden’s diverse flora and meticulously maintained landscapes create the most picturesque setting for photoshoots, which you’ll later see in Kym and Phil’s radiant couple portraits!
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place on the Linnaeus Pavilion, which is a sun-soaked terrace on the edge of the cliff formation. Rows of white chairs were arranged on the pavilion, while the altar proper was set up beneath a beautiful dome held up with pillars. Given that the setting was already exceptionally verdant, the floral styling was kept at a minimum, with lovely petite bouquets of white daisies fastened to the outer chairs, and petals lining either side of the aisle.
The wedding aisle was a tree-lined staircase that led to the bottom of the pavilion. Kym’s parents walked her down the aisle, as her beautiful feathered train and tulle veil trailed gracefully behind. She was met with a smiling crowd, who were beyond happy to see the blushing bride make her way to the altar!
Sydney-based photographer Raquel Pires flew all the way to Spain to capture the couple’s special day. With her keen eye for visual storytelling and ability to capture authentic moments, Raquel’s gallery will make you feel like you were right there, breathing the breathtaking Mediterranean air that surrounded Kym and Phil as they exchanged vows beneath the open sky.

The Couple Portraits
Now, Kym and Phil are officially married! The newlyweds posed for photos on the venue grounds, beaming with joy and love against an unbeatably lush and lively backdrop. The portraits by Raquel Pires perfectly captured the warm energy of the couple, their joy apparent in every single frame.
