Wedded Wonderland’s CEO, Wendy El-Khoury, embarked on a spellbinding journey to Chennai, India, to participate in the prestigious 12th Edition of the Exotic Wedding Planning Conference (EXCITO EWPC India 2023). This three-day extravaganza, hosted by Exito Media Concepts, brought together the finest minds in the wedding planning industry from around the globe, including renowned speakers such as Stephanie Teja from Le Mariage, Bhavnesh Sawhney of FB Celebrations, Devika Narain of Devika Narain And Company, Walid Baz of Baz Events, Ambika Gupta of The A-Cube Project, and Meltem Tepeler of KM Events.

The conference was a testament to the ever-evolving landscape of weddings and nothing short of a spectacular celebration, offering attendees a wealth of knowledge, inspiration, and opportunities for collaboration. Wendy’s knowledge radiated throughout the event, etching an unforgettable imprint through her captivating keynote, engaging panel discussion, and insightful workshop presentation.

Day 1

Upon arrival at the enchanting Kaldan Samudhra Palace, guests were serenaded by the rhythmic cadence of traditional dancers and drummers, immersing them in the rich tapestry of Indian culture. Once checked into their sumptuous poolside suites, attendees were welcomed with meticulously curated gift packages, which included personalized stationery, India’s most exquisite coffee blends, and indulgent caffeinated skincare products.

The grand inauguration of the 12th Edition Exotic Wedding Planning Conference commenced with the opulent “Black Affair” themed welcome cocktail reception at the resplendent Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay Mamallapuram. This soirée set the stage for two days of networking and enlightenment. The evening unfolded to the lively rhythms of a DJ, soul-stirring performances by Indosoul, and welcome remarks by Rishikesh Shetty, the visionary CEO of Exito Media Concepts, crafting an electric atmosphere. The night culminated with a sumptuous dinner, leaving all in eager anticipation of the enriching conference ahead.

Day 2

The conference kicked off  with an atmosphere charged with excitement and anticipation, as key stakeholders in the wedding industry gathered from near and far to attend including our esteemed Founder Wendy El-Khoury. Attendees immersed themselves in a day of valuable insights shared by highly respected industry veterans.

Wendy took center stage enthralling the audience with her insights on “Optimizing Content Distribution Channels and Measuring Success.” Her expertise transcended into the realm of social media marketing in weddings, where she expertly unraveled the intricacies of effective strategies. Wendy shared potent methods for boosting engagement and generating leads through impactful campaigns and compelling call to action strategies. Her deep dive into content distribution channels left an indelible mark, clearly defining measures of success and illuminating the path to digital triumph in the ever-evolving wedding industry landscape.

As the conference unfolded, attendees enjoyed networking and a quick lunch before returning to the ballroom for engaging discussions. Following her keynote address, Wendy seamlessly transitioned into the role of moderator for the captivating Panel Discussion titled “Mastering Wedding Budgets and Financial Planning,” featuring three industry luminaries:

Ambika Gupta, a TEDx Speaker and acclaimed Luxe Event Designer, who has redefined event planning in South India and gained global recognition among India’s top 5 women wedding designers, with features in esteemed publications and appearances at prestigious international events.

Manvir Singh, a passionate travel enthusiast and seasoned management expert, who co-founded Shanqh Luxury Events eight years ago, specializing in crafting tailor-made international destination weddings for Indian clients across 13 countries, with an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.

Sumant Jayakrishnan, a versatile artist and designer based in New Delhi, renowned for his transformative work across various creative domains worldwide, spanning theater, film, art, and events. He also boasts expertise in Indian fashion, music festivals, and the creation of opulent Indian weddings globally.

Wendy skillfully moderated this enlightening session, delving into the intricate realm of wedding budget management with finesse.

The afternoon brimmed with significant discussions and valuable learning opportunities. After the sessions concluded, guests relaxed before attending the “Beach Blanc” themed networking event, fostering newfound friendships and business connections in a picturesque setting by the sea.

Day 3

The conference’s final day was an epitome of inspiration and wisdom, showcasing a diverse array of workshops, engaging fireside chats, and profound discussions. As the event neared its conclusion, the organizers aimed to conclude on a high note.

A notable highlight for Wedded Wonderland was Wendy’s workshop, titled “Think like a Business, Act like a Brand.”

Over the course of the three days, attendees seized the opportunity to network, engage in pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings, and savored delightful networking lunches and coffee breaks. At the grand finale of the EWPC extravaganza, Excito hosted a dynamic APEX Awards ceremony, a celebration of excellence in the wedding planning industry, where participants embraced Indian attire, adorning themselves with traditional treasures. Everyone sari’d up and danced the night away, even showcasing Bharatanatyam, one of the oldest forms of traditional Indian Dance.
