Dinners are more than just sharing a meal. Wedded World 2026 proved exactly that on the evening of May 27, when Day 1 drew to a close at Nobu Crown Sydney, one of the world's most iconic Japanese fine dining destinations.
Over exceptional cuisine, Wedded Wonderland Founder Wendy El-Khoury, global design icon Preston Bailey, and an exclusive group of VIP guests shared conversations, insights, experiences, and genuine connection with one another.
After a day that had moved from masterclass to harbour at golden hour, Day 1 closed in a setting that matched the weight of everything that had come before it.
Nestled within Crown Sydney with soaring ceilings and an intimate atmosphere, Nobu had been transformed into something even more extraordinary. Under the direction of award-winning international event planner and designer Nadia Duran, the space took on an emerald-zen imperial opulence that felt at once dramatic and intentional.
Jewel-toned botanicals by Montana Flora, the Sydney-based event floral studio known for unique, lasting installations, enveloped the room, while Harbourside Decorators grounded every surface in understated luxury.
Lighting by Encore APAC did what great lighting always does: made the room feel like the only room in the world.
Every luxe detail was curated down to the last touch. Menus were handcrafted by Letters by Loulou, with menu design by Edgehouse Design bringing a refined visual language to the table. A showpiece cake by Cakes by Adam stood as a centrepiece in its own right.
Entertainment from Cirkus Bizurkus and Fernando Barraza Creative wove moments of wonder through the evening, and every frame was captured by Inlighten Photography and Videography, with content creation by Behind the Scenes Socials.
Before the dinner, VIP guests had been treated to restorative IV treatments by IV League and radiant touch-ups by Maryané Beauté; a thoughtful precursor to an evening that was always going to be worth showing up for.
Wendy El-Khoury welcomed the room, and from there, the night took on a life of its own.
Around the table sat some of the region's most accomplished wedding planners, designers, and creatives; people who had spent the day absorbing, questioning, and being challenged in the best possible way by masterclass speaker Preston Bailey, who continued to liven up the room with his energy and wisdom.
