When TikTok creator Tommy Winkler, better known to millions as "The Food Guy," married longtime partner Jessica Pappas, the goal was not to fly guests across continents. Instead, it was to make them feel as though they had.
On May 29, the couple exchanged vows at Meyer's Castle in Dyer, Indiana, a venue whose historic architecture, lush grounds, roaming wildlife, and old-world charm created the illusion of a European countryside escape. Surrounded by approximately 100 of their closest family members and friends, Tommy and Jessica transformed a Midwest wedding into something that felt lifted from a spring afternoon in Tuscany.

Every wedding begins with a vision. For Tommy and Jessica, it was simple: create the romance of a destination wedding while keeping loved ones close.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Jessica explained that Meyer's Castle immediately felt like the perfect setting for their "European spring garden" aesthetic. The venue's grand architecture and sprawling grounds offered exactly the atmosphere they had imagined.
Rather than relying on elaborate installations, the couple leaned into nature itself. Trees, greenery, gardens, and organic surroundings became the foundation of the design.
One of the most charming details was the wildlife that naturally inhabits the property. Peacocks and deer roam freely throughout the grounds, adding an almost storybook quality to the weekend.
The result was a wedding that felt effortless rather than overly produced. Guests were not simply attending an event. They were stepping into a carefully curated world.
The ceremony itself reflected the couple's love for meaningful storytelling.
Tommy's brother Jonnie officiated the wedding while also serving as best man, bringing an added layer of family significance to the occasion.

Ironically, Tommy and Jessica's story did not begin with instant chemistry.
The pair met through mutual friends while attending the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Tommy has shared that they initially found each other somewhat annoying.
Then came an unexpected turning point.
When both contracted COVID at the end of 2020, they spent ten days quarantining together. Long walks became long conversations, and long conversations eventually became a relationship.
A few months later, they officially started dating.
Years later, that same relationship led to a garden-inspired wedding and a future they are now building together.
