Bride, Joan Lyons made the decision to shave her head on her Wedding night as an emotionally-charged gesture to her new husband, Craig.
Craig, who is Joan’s childhood sweetheart (the pair have known each other for 27 years), was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer and Joan used the opportunity to raise money for charity.
Joan posted, “On 15th April 2016 I will be getting married to my childhood sweetheart Craig, who was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer last year. On our wedding night, our celebration party will also serve as a fundraising event where I will complete my head shave task in his honour and to honour and support those affected by life limiting illness.”
