Taylor Swift just graced us with the music video for “Fortnight,” her first single and opening track from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. But, can we just talk about the white gown she wears in it?!

Taylor Swift’s Love Affair with Aussie Designer, Toni Matičevski Continues
The star of the music video (aside from Taylor and Post Malone, of course) is the Toni Matičevski Candescence gown. With its sculptural silhouette, the gown features a romantic, rounded neckline with an almost-Gothic angular construction to it. The Matičevski gown features meters of crisp, pearlescent cotton gathered at the hip, creating a high-low silhouette that perfectly frames the leg.
The Aussie-designed dress is adorned with intricate boning reminiscent of the most exquisite corsetry, making it an edgy nod to bridal and Victorian-era fashion, that is sure to inspire countless wedding looks. The best part? Typically celebrities wear custom gowns that you can only dream of buying, but the Matičevski gown is online now and well, we’re this close to adding it to our cart!

Tortured Poets ‘Makeup’ Department
The Fortnight music video is a visual feast much like we’ve come to expect with any Swift video (we’re still not over the Bejewelled music video from Midnights!), with Taylor’s make-up mirroring the moody aesthetic of the new album. Known for her iconic red lip and cat eye, Swift opts for dramatic 1920-inspired makeup in the latest music video, reminiscent of American actress, Clara Bow (the inspiration behind the aptly titled track, Clara Bow). Featuring heavy, dark eyeshadow, a deep lip and thin eyebrows, Swift makes a bold case for mixing up bridal beauty this year. Are thin eyebrows making a comeback? If Taylor’s look is any indicator, we might see this 90s trend resurface at upcoming weddings!

As Swifties and fashion aficionados dissect every frame for style cues and easter eggs, Taylor’s “Fortnight” video truly serves as a perfect example of how music and fashion can create powerful, memorable moments. The dark, moody aesthetic coupled with the iconic Australian fashion designer’s incredible dress, is the Taylor’s Version we’ve all been waiting for. And now, after this album’s release, maybe we’ll finally get Reputation Taylor’s Version!
